We're thrilled to share that Chioma, a graduate of our culinary training program with IEK Delta, has successfully opened her own restaurant, Mamma Sammy's Kitchen, and we couldn't be more proud!

Despite facing numerous challenges, Chioma's passion for cooking and our support in helping her win a grant turned her dream into reality. Mamma Sammy's kitchen showcases the rich flavors of Chioma's home, West Africa. Chioma was able to win a grant from the organisation Be the Ladder that supports displaced persons with financial support in businesses, schooling or housing. We are so grateful for their support and for giving her such a massive help in opening Mamma Sammy's.

Chioma first attended our culinary training in January 2023, where she expressed her intent in opening her own restaurant during our very first meeting. In July 2024 we were so pleased ot attend the grand opening. Originating from Nigeria, Chioma cooks all the delicious dishes herself and hopes to share her food with the masses! If you are in Athens do stop by her restaurant, just off of Victoria square for some culinary delights!
